A flagship trade exhibition for the social economy sector will take place on Wednesday, 1 September 2010 at Grosvenor House, 5 Glengall Street, Belfast BT12 5AD. Social enterprises will have the opportunity to have one-to-one meetings with Buyers to promote their organisation with the potential to acquire new business leads. Thirty social enterprises from across Northern Ireland will showcase their products and services to potential buyers from the public, private and voluntary sector. The range of goods and services will include print and graphic design, web design and bespoke database development, catering services, transport, recycling, education, training and many more. Are you the founder or the driving force behind a social enterprise or a not-for-profit organisation that makes a real difference? Could you convince us that you have what it takes to lift your project to the next stage? If so UnLtd - the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs – is keen to hear from you. You must have a proven track record of social impact and financial growth as well as a clearly defined vision for the future. The UnLtd ‘Level 2’ award consists of u to £15,000 to meet personal living expenses or project costs as well as dedicated business support over a twelve month period. UnLtd expects to be able to add value to every project we fund, so we need to be convinced that our investment of time and money is necessary and will deliver long lasting social change. The competition takes place twice a year and the autumn round will open shortly. The application form is available online from 31st August, but you can refer now to the ‘Apply for Level 2’ page on www.UnLtd.org.uk for sample questions that you will need to address. The web-site also gives details of the eligibility criteria and some case studies of Level 2 awardees.
